Naptime Gamble
OVERVIEW
Naptime Gamble is a lighthearted game about the delicate art of taking naps on public transport and all the risks that come with it. After a long day, all you want is a bit of rest… but nap too long and you might miss your stop entirely.
Each round you must decide how long to nap, taking a gamble on whether they’ll wake up in time. The result? You only find out when the next station is announced. Did you make it to your stop, or did you sleep right past it? With its playful tone and simple mechanics, Naptime Gamble blends humors, chance, and everyday relatability into an engaging and replayable experience.
TEAM
This game was developed by a team of 7 participants during the Nordic Game Jam 2025. The team brought together individuals from diverse backgrounds, including game design, programming, architecture, and sound design. Over the course of the jam we collaborated closely to conceptualise, design, and build a complete playable experience within a limited time frame.

MECHANICS
Naptime Gamble features a minimal set of mechanics, designed to support a focused gameplay experience within the scope of a game jam. Players interact with mouse controls to rotate the view, open the map, and set a nap timer.
